Out of 152 countries included in the ranking of Internet access speed, Moldova is on the 3rd place. 

Top 7 ICT research priorities were identified as a result of the Consultation Seminar organized in the framework of the EXTEND project. 

In order to enhance and strengthen scientific and technical cooperation in the field of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) between Eastern Europe and Southern Caucasus (EECS) and the European Union, a Consultation Seminar will take place on May 18, 2010 in the framework of the FP7 project EXTEND.

On May 19, 2010 the Central Scientific Library "A. Lupan” (5A, Academiei str., Chisinau, Moldova) will host the Training Seminar organised by the European project EXTEND for stakeholders in ICT research and development.

Referring to the current performances of Moldova, Dr. Graham Stroud has appreciated  "EXPERT online" implemented by ASM, and the new applications  for national call for proposals.
 

In the period of April 26 and June 19, 2010, the contest “ITineret - the future begins with you” will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Information Technologies and Communication, Mr. Alexandru Oleinic. This is the first national contest organized for pupils from X–XII forms and students of I-II years of university who take interest in information technologies (IT).

Between 18 and 19 May 2010 in Chisinau will be held a high level meeting “The Moldova e-Government Summit 2010” called “ICT for better governance”...

The Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication of the Republic of Moldova announced that the “.md” domain is going down in price.

Moldova ICT Summit 2010 "Empowering Development through information technology" will take place on March 30-31 at Leogrand Convention Center. The partners of the event are: Moldovan ICT Association, USAID funded project CEED, EU funded project SEPIA, Microsoft Moldova.
 

On February 12, 2010 the small hall of ASM hosted a plenary session of the representatives of the Department of Exact and Economical Sciences (institutional members, profile and associate members). The discussion focused on the priority research directions of the Department for the period 2011-2014.
